When it comes to sports, I’m 100% a fan—not a player. While some people love the thrill of competition on the field, I prefer the excitement of watching from the stands or my cozy couch. And if there’s one sport that completely captures my heart, it’s football!
Why I LOVE Watching Football
There’s just something magical about football season. The anticipation leading up to game day, the roar of the crowd, and the emotional rollercoaster of every play—it’s a thrill like no other.
I have two teams that own my heart:
- Iowa Hawkeyes 🏈 – There’s nothing like a crisp fall afternoon, a stadium packed with black and gold, and the legendary Hawkeye Wave to the children at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital. It’s more than football; it’s a tradition that brings a community together.

- Kansas City Chiefs ❤️💛 – Watching Patrick Mahomes make impossible plays and Travis Kelce dominate on the field? Absolutely electric! I still get chills thinking about their Super Bowl wins. That feeling of watching your team hoist the Lombardi Trophy? Pure joy!

One of my most unforgettable moments as a fan was watching the Chiefs pull off their incredible comeback against the 49ers in Super Bowl LIV. I remember sitting on the edge of my seat, heart pounding, and then—BOOM! Mahomes worked his magic, and the Chiefs took over. The explosion of excitement, the happy tears, the victory celebrations—it’s what makes being a fan so special!
Playing Sports? Not for Me!
While I love the energy of watching a game, I’ve never had a strong passion for actually playing sports. Sure, I enjoy being active, but I don’t have a particular sport that I love to play. And honestly? That’s okay! Being a fan is just as thrilling, if not more, because I get to experience the highs and lows of the game without the pressure of being on the field.
